Chicago's acclaimed PUS (Performers Under Stress) presents the West Coast Premiere of SAM I AM, an evening of short works by Irish dramatist, novelist, and poet, Samuel Beckett (Endgame, Waiting for Godot). Called "ambitious" and "inspiring" by the Chicago Reader, SAM I AM features Beckett's last prose work, Stirrings Still, as well as Rough for Theatre II, Footfalls, Play, Act Without Words I, Rough for Radio II, and Eh Joe. 

Scott Baker, PUS co-founding Artistic Director, and director of the company's critically acclaimed West Coast Premiere of The Farmington Armada, helms this illuminating take on Beckett's modernist masterpieces starring Skip Emerson, George Epsilanty, Valerie Fachman, Brendan Scoggin, and Sharon Sittloh. 

Comprised of Scott Baker and Charles Pike, recipients of Joseph Jefferson citations for their theater work in Chicago, and Valerie Fachman, PUS has been in existence for over 15 years, and has been critically lauded for its bare-bones productions of Samuel Beckett plays and original works. Other PUS productions include Anatomy of It's a Wonderful Life; Robinson Jeffer's Dead Soldier Walks Home; Glory Hole; Pound Bound; Fun with Dick and Perry; and Jungle of Tongues.
